About The Curve Club

Welcome to The Curve Club, an ongoing digital fiction series created especially for tweens and teens navigating scoliosis.

Follow six unforgettable characters as they experience diagnosis, monitoring, bracing, surgery, friendships, school, family, confidence, and all the ups and downs of growing up. While scoliosis brings them together, the story is ultimately about finding your people, facing challenges, and realizing you don't have to go through life's hardest moments alone.

Unlike a traditional novel, The Curve Club is written and released in real time. Instead of receiving the entire story at once, readers experience it one chapter at a time—just like following a favorite TV series.

Membership

A Curve Club Membership is $10 per month and includes:

  • Access to every chapter that has already been released

  • One brand-new chapter released every Friday

  • One exclusive bonus feature with every chapter, including journals, deleted scenes, text messages, group chats, character cards, and more

For example, if you join during Week 5, you'll immediately have access to Chapters 1–5 and all of their bonus content. Then, you'll receive each new chapter as it is released every Friday along with its new bonus feature.

The story continues to grow throughout the year, so there is always something new waiting for members.

100% of proceeds from The Curve Club support Higgy Bears, a nonprofit organization dedicated to making scoliosis more bearable for kids and teens around the world. Every membership helps fund programs, resources, and support for families affected by scoliosis.

The Curve Club was created by Lauren Higginson, founder of Higgy Bears. Inspired by years of working alongside thousands of children, teens, and families affected by scoliosis, Lauren created this series to give young readers characters they can relate to, stories that feel real, and a reminder that they never have to face their journey alone.
